borat
this movie takes place in modern time. its about a guy named borat that travels to america to show people in this home counrty what it is like....it is basically the closest thing to being retarded without having downs. Sacha Baron Cohen is good at the part that he plays, but the movie has very little plot and no skill required. overall borat is for immature kids at best.

crimson tide
the movie crimson tide is a movie that takes place in 1995. the plot is that a russain official causes a coup against the russian government. the man gets an army together and takes over a russian nuclear missle base. after the u.s. finds out what has happened it sends a sub to watch over the region. they get a message to launch....but things start to go wrong....the movie's overall theme about forgien affares is very pressing. Denzel washinton the"xo" and gene hackman the "captian" do a great job at bring the reader into the story. i found myself yelling at the two, telling them what they should do. overall it is a great movie and i would highly recommend this movie

20 mins with obama
A) i would bring up the economy, the war, and envirment, but the one question that i would ask him is why are we spending our money to help other countries... like why do you give money to iraq to build when they in all reallity have more money then we do? why don't we help the poor here in america and the working class, on schools, roads, parks.....OUR COUNTRY.
B)
1) i think that the counrty will most likely be in a better economic stance. i think that people will think more about what will happen in the future and that the war in iraq will be over i think the country as a whole will be better.
2)i think that energy will be a huge concern. i think that that will be the main focus. but in the end i have no clue, it would be the future if you know what will happen.

love...
love is like...
love is like a forest fire
love is started with a single spark
it is hot
it spreads quickly
it engolfs everything
like a forest fire
it can leave nothing
it can leave the heart bear
like a forest fire
love consumes the soul
love is like...

I ne'er was struck before that hour
With love so sudden and so sweet
Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower
And stole my heart away complete.
My face turned pale, a deadly pale.
My legs refused to walk away,
And when she looked what could I ail
My life and all seemed turned to clay.
And then my blood rushed to my face
And took my eyesight quite away.
The trees and bushes round the place
Seemed midnight at noonday.
I could not see a single thing,
Words from my eyes did start.
They spoke as chords do from the string,
And blood burnt round my heart.
Are flowers the winter's choice
Is love's bed always snow
She seemed to hear my silent voice
Not love appeals to know.
I never saw so sweet a face
As that I stood before.
My heart has left its dwelling place
And can return no more.

I think that the reader is talking about, the first feeling when a person sees their first love.
the whole poem bascially states that there is no love like the first one

Rock-A-Bye, Baby
Rock-a-bye, baby, thy cradle is green;Father's a nobleman, mother's a queen;And Betty's a lady, and wears a gold ring;And Johnny's a drummer, and drums for the king
1) I picked this poem because it was a twist on a classic luliby
2)the title of the poem is just the first phrase of the poem, the author keeps it simple by doing so.
3)the poet uses personifiction and imagery to paint a picture of the story for the reader.
4)the tone of the piece is kind of.... sleepy and old, like even when it was first written had a older feel to it.

long weeks only seem long when your in the middle of them
this week has been dragging on for ever, its only tuesday but it seems like a thursday. yesterday i had a playing test in orchestra, which i hate because my teacher makes you get up infront of the whole class to play. For some unknown reason i have been in orchestra since the fifth grade, and have hated it since the fifth grade. I don't really know why i am in that class i guess its the make the adults around me happy and it looks good for college. anyways that made my day seem really long, and today i just can't sit still and im here in the classroom all day. i guess long weeks only seem longer when your only half way there.

my knee
In the ninth grade i got supper sick and was out of school for a couple of months, it sucked. when i was sick my body sent messages to my knee saying that it was infected, when it really wasn't. because it did this my body basically turned on itself and end result is this nasty fluid behind my knee cap. whenever it goes from being really hot out side to really cold outside the fluid comes back. The way they get rid of the fluid is by sticking a needle in your leg that goes up behind the knee cap and inject it, that really sucks too. anyways the reason im blogging about that to day is because its the season that goes from super hot to super cold and the fluid came back. so this morning i got the shot, but instead of just behing the knee cap it went into the knee cap and out of the four times i have done this today was the worst one ever.
personal narrative
As the date got closer, and closer my brother got more and more excited. Three days later my mom said that my grand father was sick, and christmas would most likely be at our house which was disappointing because it was a tradition to have it at his lake house. But the biggest dissapointment of all was that she would probly not be at the celebration. The next my grand father died, my brother and i did not know what was happening so we asked around but either they said that they didn't know or they just didn't want to talk about it. After my grandpa died my dad seemed really distant, we could go days and weeks without even hearing or seeing from him. those were some of the darkest days in my family.

weekend
this weekend was the best weekend i have had since the beginning of school, see since school started my weekends have been filled with school shopping and homework and other really fun activities(not really). this weekend though, this weekend was different i got to watch college football all saturday, which had some of the best games of the season this far the. The Oregon vs. Purdue game which went to double over time was really good. On the other had the Ohio st. vs. USC game was terrible, it was a blow away. This weekend i also got to sleep in which made me feel so good. Sunday was a lazy sleepy day which makes me sleepy and rememb all of the homework i forgot to do, such as my blogging
